Bring your Boy Scout to the Museum Saturday, Oct. 2 to earn their Architecture Merit Badge. Kansas City architects and historians will lead your Boy Scout on a tour of different architectural styles of Northeast Kansas City, including our home, Corinthian Hall. They’ll learn about architecture careers, see tools architects use, view construction drawings, and so much more.

Your Boy Scout will:

  • Explore the Historic Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood with Northeast historian Michael Bushnell and see various architecture styles

  • Meet with an architect from Kansas City firm International Architects Atelier and learn about careers in architecture, the tools architects use and the process of a building project

  • Take a Hard Hat tour of the Museum’s main home, Corinthian Hall, with an architect and discover how the building was built

  • Meet with Kansas City Museum staff and discuss the process of designing a new museum

Contact our Education Curator Rebecca Schroeder at 816-483-8300 ext. 1402 or email her at rschroeder@unionstation.org to register.
