Architecture Scavenger Hunts
Take an exterior architectural scavenger hunt of Corinthian Hall and the historic homes that surround the Museum. You’ll learn what a porte chochere is, the types of stone used on the homes, and the types of columns that give Corinthian Hall its name.
Explore the history of the Long Family, the Long Estate and the Long’s neighborhood in our panel exhibit scavenger hunt. You’ll learn about the Heim family, who lived south on Benton Boulevard, the Colonnade and the Concourse, and the staff who ran the Long estate.
Pick up a clipboard on the Visitor Center wall and learn about the history of this iconic neighborhood and family!
Check out one of our Architecture backpacks and learn about the many architectural details of Corinthian Hall. You’ll learn about the Beaux Arts style, the Greek architectural elements that adorn Corinthian Hall, and its iconic pergola. You’ll create masterful arts and crafts to take home with you.
Parents: To check out a backpack, you must provide the Museum your driver’s license to ensure we receive the backpacks back.
